Acceptance is honoring our thoughts and feelings in the present moment. This third generation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) introduces "psychological flexibility" to process painful thoughts, emotions and memories smoothing their impact and promoting engagement in meaningful actions.
Emdr
A treatment approach which has been empirically validated in over 30 randomized studies of trauma victims. An additional 25 studies have demonstrated positive effects for the eye movement component used in EMDR therapy.
